AG has told us things to fool us; so why couldn't this be a false alarm too?
The only thing we can do is wait and see.
I'm not giving myself a "for sure" answer until Emily is available (or isn't for that matter).

I really trust the trademarks. So far they have never been wrong. Sometimes there have been extras that were filed, but they've never filed them to trick us, and right now Emily is the only familiar name there.

The last time I looked at prices, it cost $500 just to file a trademark, and that is without lawyer's fees. Unless they file another AG girl very soon, I think Emily will be next. It takes a long time for a trademark to be official, so AG would want to file their new girl's name right away. I looked for Ruthie's a while back, and she wasn't there, but it might be fun to check again soon.

Well, I hope it's Emily. Dd is again saving her Christmas money for her (she saved her last year's money for Elizabeth).

Although I would love to have Ruthie for my Kit...

My mom wants Ruthie for her Kit too, but I'm DYING for Emily! Molly is feeling a little left out that she doesn't have a friend in her time period to play with.

I don't think Valerie would try to pull anything over on the fans. She was the one who said she was working on Emily's story next, didn't come from AG directly as I remember it.

I just ran a check for Ruthie in the trademark search again this evening . . . her name has not been filed by AG. Right now Emily is looking the most possible if we follow the trademarks. (So far they haven't been wrong with predicting the friends and movies, including Nellie and Elizabeth.)
